Press & Awards

We’ve been fortunate to earn prestigious awards and media recognition over the years because of our founder’s incredible vision: to set the standard for unique international luxury destinations where active outdoor recreation, shared experiences, and wellness offerings are balanced with environmental stewardship, philanthropy, economic sustainability, and the preservation of the western way of life. It is an honor to receive this recognition from Travel + Leisure, Condé Nast, Forbes Travel Guide, MICHELIN, Orvis, and more.

(Saratoga, Wyo.) – July 11, 2019 – The award-winning Lodge & Spa at Brush Creek Ranch is honored to welcome another prestigious recognition to its list of accolades today with the announcement that it has been named the No. 2 Top Hotel in the World, No. 1 Resort Hotel in the Continental U.S. and No. 1 Resort Hotel in the West in Travel+ Leisure World’s Best Awards 2019. This is the third year in a row The Lodge & Spa at Brush Creek Ranch has been recognized by Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards, previously named No. 1 Resort Hotel in the Continental U.S. in 2017 and No. 2 Resort Hotel in 2018.
“To be named the No.1 Resort Hotel in the U.S. by readers of one of the foremost travel publications in the world is an incredible honor,” said Mike Williams, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of The Lodge & Spa at Brush Creek Ranch.

“While The Lodge & Spa at Brush Creek Ranch is well-known for its awe-inspiring landscape and numerous prestigious accolades, what really sets us apart is our people and the Western spirit of hospitality that is ingrained in everything that we do. This recognition is a testament to that commitment.”

The World’s Best Awards is a travel awards program run by Travel + Leisure, the largest travel brand in the United States, and based on an annual reader survey. The survey, developed by the publication’s editors in association with digital marketing firm Wylei, was offered November 6, 2018 to March 4, 2019. Readers were invited to participate in the survey through Travel+ Leisure magazine, T +L tablet editions, newsletters, social media and travelandleisure.com. Readers rated their favorite destinations, hotels, resorts, spas, airlines, cruise lines, tour operators, rental-car agencies, and more. Hotels were categorized as City or Resort based on their locations. For resort hotels, the U.S. was divided into seven regions, with The Lodge & Spa at Brush Creek Ranch leading the Western region which includes properties in Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. The results are published in the August 2019 issue of Travel+ Leisure and online at travelandleisure.com on Wednesday, July 10th.
“For 24 years, our readers have been voting in the Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards. This annual franchise is a global collection of the top hotels, islands, cities, cruise lines, airlines, and more,” says Jacqueline Gifford, Editor in Chief of Travel+ Leisure. “Brands and properties from all over the world-from Peru to Japan, India to Italy, and right here at home in the United Statesare recognized by our audience because they deliver on exceptional experiences, rooted in a sense of place. I congratulate all of this year’s winners, who have worked so hard to be among the world’s best.”
